A small crew, one specialism
Sub-Zero Repair Redmond is an independent repair shop working the Redmond districts on both banks of the Sammamish River, since 2019. The work is not farmed out to a dispatch network.
Much of it is the older built-ins: 500 Series units with lit dials, 600 Series units with a SERVICE light and stored codes, and the BI line with its wrench icon. Each series fails in its own recognisable ways, so the model off the tag and a description of the display usually narrow the fault before the visit is booked.
Four rules we work to
- 01 One brand, one category
- Built-in Sub-Zero refrigeration is the whole job — no cooking appliances, no dishwashers, no laundry. A narrow trade is how the older series stay familiar.
- 02 Diagnosis before parts
- A part is ordered on a reading, never a hunch. When the meter clears the control board, the board stays where it is and the search moves on.
- 03 The price is the price
- A $89 call-out buys the visit and a full diagnosis, and it is deducted from the repair once you approve the work. Parts and labour are priced in writing before anything is opened. A job that turns out smaller costs less; one that grows gets a second conversation before it grows the bill.
- 04 We will tell you to stop
- Some discontinued units are worth rebuilding and some are not, and the difference is usually the sealed system and whether its parts can still be had. When the answer is no, you hear it before any money is spent.

On the Sub-Zero name
Sub-Zero Repair Redmond is its own company, with no tie to Sub-Zero Group, Inc.; the manufacturer has not authorized or endorsed anything we do. Sub-Zero is that company's registered trademark, used on these pages only to name the equipment we work on. A unit still inside its factory warranty belongs with the manufacturer's own service network.

When it needs a technician, the visit is $89 and it comes off the repair bill; the price for the work is in writing before anything is opened.
